Property Protective clauses
This very popular Will contains a trust that allows a person to protect their property or each half of their property to avoid the various problems which can occur after the first death. Not least that of "Sideways Disinheritance" - to protect each half of the property for the ultimate preservation of assets for future generations. If you own your home with another person as Joint Tenants, I will also draft severance documents to change to Tenants in Common. The price includes a Land Registry search.

Family Protective Clauses
In situations where there are uncertainties about the ultimate beneficiaries of a Will, it can be helpful to include a Discretionary Trust. Examples of those uncertainties would be beneficiaries that are vulnerable due to a physical or mental disability, alcohol, drug or gambling addiction, unstable relationships and other such issues that might make you wary of providing an outright gift.

Lasting Power of Attorney
Drafting and overseeing applications to the Office of Public Guardian, with the option to write a letter of wishes, guidance for your Attorneys regarding their role relating to your best interests, and what to do with your registered documents. I can act as your certificate provider and witness if required.

There are two LPAs, Finance & Property and Health & Welfare. Each document is £92 to register with the Office of Public Guardian, in addition to my drafting fees (potentially £368 for all four documents), which you pay directly to the OPG. Exemptions may be possible if you are in receipt of certain means tested benefits.

Document storage
Includes the safe storage of your Will, LPAs, trust documents and other associated documents for the remainder of your life. As part of this service, we will register your Will with the National Wills Register and contact you every three years for a free review of your Will. You will also get an added discount from the update of your documents, if changes are required.
